HGTV’s Leanne Ford Launches Outdoor Furniture and It’s Gorgeous
With warm weather mere weeks away, now is the time to refresh your outdoor space. After all, springtime calls for al fresco feasts, wine nights outside, and conversation pits under the stars. Rather than hunt around the Internet for stylish pieces that take weeks (or even months) to arrive, snag all your patio needs at Crate & Barrel. As of today, the beloved brand has launched its fourth collection with television personality, interior designer, and furniture maker Leanne Ford—and it’s made for outdoor living.
The pieces—coffee tables, lounge chairs, and even stoneware plates—all boast the Pittsburgh native’s signature cool elegance that pairs well with pretty much everything. That, of course, was the designer’s intention. “I believe that your outdoor experience should feel just as beautiful as your indoor experience, which is why this collection is simple, laid back, and carefree,” she tells House Beautiful. “It feels modern, but it doesn’t have a time stamp.”
It doesn’t have an expiration date either because the whole collection is quite literally designed to last. “The teak frames will age beautifully. I wanted to design outdoor furniture that looks better with time—just like us,” Ford says with a laugh. What’s more? These pieces are meant to fit in any home—no matter where it is. The designer adds, “I have an old, historical 20th-century stone and terracotta home, and this collection fits that aesthetic as much as it does a modernist California space.”
More From House Beautiful
So if you’re in the market for some fresh new finds for your outdoor area—whether a pool surround, a covered patio, or an elevated terrace—there is something in this collection for you. Our personal favorites? The patterned throw pillows, the three-piece sectional topped with deep pillowy cushions, and the expandable dining table. “I truly believe that our everyday life should be just as beautiful as our vacation life, so I wanted to create something that can give you that feeling but still fit well into the normal life that we live,” Ford says. We certainly aren’t waiting for temperatures to rise to start our design process, and you shouldn’t either! Shop the new collection before it’s sold out.
